GOOD TO KNOW

Some important information about your stay with us

WELCOME

Please arrive at our spa lounge at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will allow us to help you relax and get in the right frame of mind for your treatment.

SCHEDULING

We recommend that you book your preferred appointment well in advance by phone or email. If we have an opening, we’ll of course be happy to accommodate your reservation on short notice as well.

CANCELLATION OF AN APPOINTMENT

Your treatment time has been reserved specifically for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please notify us in writing as soon as possible, but at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not show up or cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment, we will unfortunately be forced to charge a cancellation fee of 80% of the treatment price. Thank you for your understanding!

CLOTHING

Bathrobes and bath shoes must be worn throughout the entire sauna area. Bathrobes are available for rent for a fee at the sauna bar or at the front desk. For body treatments, we ask that you undress completely. To ensure your comfort and to protect your privacy, you will always be carefully covered during every body treatment. Disposable underwear for both women and men is, of course, available upon request.

PEACE

Our treatment area is a place of peace and relaxation. Please help maintain this atmosphere by speaking quietly and refraining from using your cell phone.

SMOKING

Our entire bath, sauna, and treatment area is designated as a smoke-free zone. Smoking is permitted only in the designated areas of the bath gardens.

VALUABLES

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any liability for valuables and jewelry brought into the facility.

GIFT CERTIFICATES & GIFTS
All of our treatments and programs are also available as attractively designed gift certificates at our front desk or through our online store at www.badegaerten.de.

STAY IN A SHEPHERD'S WAGON
Our shepherd's wagons can be booked year-round and are part of our sauna facility. Keys can be picked up on the day of arrival between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please vacate the shepherd's wagon by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Overnight stays in the shepherd’s wagon are only available in conjunction with a sauna admission. If you are using the shepherd’s wagon alone, we charge a single-bed surcharge of €5.00. Breakfast and linens are included in the overnight rate. You can use the restroom facilities in the bath gardens; a composting toilet is available for overnight use. Please do not bring large suitcases or travel bags. We recommend small carry-on luggage, as we do not have a separate access road to the shepherd’s wagons.  Access is via a turnstile leading to the sauna area. You can park your car conveniently and free of charge in our parking lot in front of the Badegärten. Our shepherd’s wagons are designed for two people; an extra bed is not available. For safety reasons, children must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by a parent to stay overnight in the shepherd’s wagon.

GENERAL INFORMATION

When are the Eibenstock Bathing Gardens open?

Our pool and sauna area is open to you almost year-round.

Even during school breaks and on public holidays, the regular opening hours for the respective day of the week generally apply. Exceptions apply, in particular, during Christmas and New Year's.

Once a year, we perform necessary inspection and maintenance work. Our facility will be closed during this time.

You can find the current opening hours and scheduled closing times on our website under “Opening Hours.”

Do I need to make a reservation in advance for my visit?

Water Park

You do not need to make a reservation in advance to visit our pool area. Reservations for pool admission are neither required nor possible.

Sauna Area

To ensure that you can fully relax and enjoy your wellness day with us, we recommend that you reserve your sauna session online in advance.

Especially on days when we have a large number of visitors, we can only guarantee admission to our sauna area for guests with an existing reservation. Guests without a reservation are, of course, also welcome to visit our facility, provided there are still available spots.

You can conveniently reserve your sauna admission for your desired date using our online booking tool. The booking calendar shows you the availability of admission slots for each visit date right away.

Our tip: Be sure to reserve your sauna session well in advance, especially on weekends, holidays, and during school breaks.

Note for Overnight Guests

Guests who have booked a stay in our vacation homes by the natural swimming lake or in our shepherd’s wagons do not need to make a separate reservation for the sauna. The corresponding admission capacity is already factored in when you book your accommodations.

What should I bring for my spa day?

To ensure that you can fully enjoy your stay at our Sauna Village, we recommend that you plan a few things for your visit.

Here's what to pack in your sauna bag:

  • Bathrobe: Wearing a bathrobe is required throughout our entire sauna area. It ensures a pleasant and relaxing experience, especially in the restaurants and relaxation areas.
  • Bath shoes: Non-slip bath shoes are a must-have for your sauna visit.
  • Large Sauna Towel: Please bring a towel large enough for you to lie down on completely in the sauna, including your feet.
  • Additional Towels: We recommend bringing extra towels to dry off after showering and for use on our lounge chairs.
  • Personal care items: Shower gel, shampoo, a hairbrush, and your personal care products round out your sauna essentials.
  • Sauna cap: A sauna cap can be a pleasant addition, especially at higher temperatures.

Important Note: Bags, cell phones, cameras, and other electronic devices are not permitted in our sauna area. Please store these items in your locker before entering the sauna.

Did you forget something? You can rent bathrobes and towels at our front desk for a small fee. You can also purchase various sauna items in our shop.

Now nothing stands in the way of your relaxing getaway at the Badegärten Eibenstock.

When is the last admission to the Badegärten?

To ensure that you can fully enjoy your stay with us, we recommend that you allow plenty of time for your visit.

The last admission to our pool and sauna area is one hour before the regular closing time.

Please note that you must leave our swimming pools and sauna areas 15 minutes before closing time. This will give you plenty of time to shower, change, and enjoy a relaxing end to your visit.

What happens if I lose my Chip-Key?

During your stay, your personal Chip-Key serves both as an electronic locker key and as a means of making cashless payments for our dining and other services.

Therefore, please always wear it securely on your wrist and do not leave it unattended.

If you do happen to lose your chip key, please notify our staff immediately.

We'll help you figure out what to do next.

Please note that the relevant provisions of our hotel, pool, and sauna policies apply to the loss of the chip key as well as to any services booked using it.

What programs are available for babies and toddlers?

Even our youngest guests are warmly welcome at the Eibenstock Bathing Gardens.

In our new aquatic area, families will find a lovingly designed toddler zone that is specially tailored to the needs of our youngest water lovers.

Here, children can have their first playful experiences with water while parents and caregivers support them.

Please note that parents or responsible chaperones are responsible for supervising the children throughout their entire stay.

What can families expect at the new Splash Park?

At our Splash Park, it's all about water, exercise, and lots of fun!

Numerous water features and interactive attractions invite children to discover the element of water in a playful way.

Whether it's splashing water fountains, surprising water effects, or little adventures along the way—there's always something new to experience here.

Please follow the age and safety guidelines posted at each attraction.

What water slides are there at the water park?

Our themed water slides offer a variety of sliding fun for different age groups.

Things get especially exciting on our speed slide, which is open to children ages eight and up. Here, the focus is on speed and a thrilling sliding experience.

On our family slide, additional light and game effects make sliding even more fun. Different game modes let you earn points or compare your sliding performance.

Please note that our slides may only be used one at a time. The applicable age restrictions, starting signals, and safety rules must be strictly observed.

What do I need to keep in mind when using our water slides?

Our water slides promise lots of fun and a variety of water experiences.

To ensure that all guests can safely enjoy this activity, we ask that you follow the relevant instructions and observe the age restrictions.

As a general rule, the slides may only be used one at a time and in the prescribed sliding position. Please pay attention to the traffic light signals and start sliding only when the light is green.

After sliding down, please leave the landing area immediately so that the next guests can arrive safely.

Some of our slides feature special lighting and visual effects. Please be sure to follow the corresponding safety instructions.

Important for families: The slides in our Splash Park are intended for children up to and including age 13. We ask all parents and guardians to ensure that age and safety regulations are followed.

Is there a swimming pool at the water park?

Yes. Our pool area features a 25-meter-long lap pool.

Here, guests who are serious about sports can swim laps and enjoy swimming as a refreshing break from everyday life.

For guests who primarily want to come to swim, we offer a special 90-minute swimmer’s rate.

The pool is also used for our swimming lessons and aqua fitness classes.

From October through March, our laser show takes place here during the Saxony state school breaks.
You can find all the details here.

Can I bring my own flotation devices or water toys?

To ensure that all guests can enjoy our water areas safely and undisturbed, guests are generally not permitted to bring their own sports, recreational, swimming, or diving equipment.

Swim goggles may, of course, be used.

Special safety regulations apply to children and non-swimmers. They may use the pools only under appropriate supervision and with suitable flotation devices.

Please follow the instructions of our supervisory staff.

Do children have to use flotation devices?

The safety of our young guests is especially important to us.

Children who are not yet confident swimmers should only enter the water with appropriate flotation devices and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Please note that flotation devices are not a substitute for personal supervision by parents or guardians.

Our security staff will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have regarding the applicable safety regulations.

SAUNA EXPERIENCE & ADMISSION FEES

Do I have to pay for my reserved sauna admission online in advance?

No. When you reserve your sauna admission online, no payment is required at this time.

This simply secures your admission for the desired visit date.

Payment is due directly at our cash register when you visit, or in accordance with the payment terms applicable to your reservation.

Can I cancel my reserved sauna admission?

Of course, your plans may change at some point.

You can cancel your online sauna reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled visit.

To do so, simply log in to your personal customer account on our online booking system. There, you'll find your existing reservations and can manage them as needed.

Please note that your booking is a binding reservation. If you do not check in, you will be charged 100% of the total amount for any booking that has not been canceled.

Is access to the pool area included in the sauna admission fee?

With your sauna admission ticket, you can enjoy both our spacious sauna area and the pool area.

This gives you the opportunity to tailor your wellness day entirely to your personal preferences. Enjoy traditional sauna infusions, relax in our relaxation areas, or take a few laps in our pool area in between.

Please note that separate fees apply for certain additional services, such as massages and sauna rituals.

Is there an additional charge for sauna admission on weekends and holidays?

During the busy fall and winter seasons, we charge a seasonal surcharge on our sauna admission fees.

This applies annually from October 1 through March 31 on Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays in the Free State of Saxony.

The surcharge is added to the regular sauna admission fee and also applies to discounted admission rates.

You can find the current admission prices and surcharges on our website under“Admission & Prices.”

Are children allowed to use the sauna area?

Our sauna area is a place of peace, rest, and relaxation. To ensure that all guests can enjoy this special atmosphere, there are a few rules that apply when visiting with children.

Children and adolescents under the age of 16 may visit our sauna village only when accompanied by an adult supervisor.

Special admission rules apply to children under 7 years of age. Please check our current admission policies before your visit.

We ask all parents and guardians to be considerate of our guests' need for quiet and to fulfill their duty of supervision throughout their entire stay.

Can I use the natural swimming lake all year round?

Our natural swimming lake is a special highlight of our sauna village and is the perfect place to cool off naturally after a sauna session.

In general, the lake is open to you year-round. The interplay between the soothing warmth of the sauna and the refreshing coolness of the natural water is particularly appealing.

Please note that the natural swimming lake may be temporarily closed due to adverse weather conditions or for technical or operational reasons. Especially during the winter months, when there is ice on the lake, the lake is opened for cooling off only after the infusions in the Bojaren Sauna, for safety reasons.

The natural swimming lake is part of our clothing-optional sauna area and is accessible only through that area.

What should I keep in mind when swimming in a natural lake?

Our natural swimming lake offers you a unique swimming experience in the heart of our Karelian sauna village.

To ensure that you can safely enjoy this natural experience, we ask that you use only the designated entry stairs. Jumping into the lake is not permitted.

The planted restoration areas and the constructed wetland are used for natural water treatment and must not be entered.

Please shower thoroughly before using the natural swimming lake, especially after using the sauna.

We also ask that you be considerate of the peace and relaxation of other guests at the natural swimming lake.

What kinds of herbal infusions are offered at the bath gardens?

A special experience in our sauna village is the wide variety of sauna infusions, each lovingly prepared.

Whether it’s a traditional wenik infusion in the Russian banya, an aromatic herbal infusion, a Finnish sauna infusion, or a spectacular show infusion—our sauna team puts together a varied program every day.

We place great emphasis on naturalness and traditional sauna culture. For our infusions, we use, among other things, herbal decoctions we prepare ourselves, natural birch infusions, and high-quality essential oils. We deliberately avoid using synthetic infusion agents.

You can find the current Aufguss times and the daily schedule on our website under“Aufguss Times.”

We wish you many relaxing and unforgettable Aufguss experiences.

Can I perform a sauna infusion myself?

Our sauna infusions are performed exclusively by our trained sauna staff.

For safety reasons, guests are not permitted to pour water or add sauna infusions on their own, nor are they allowed to add wood to our sauna stoves.

Please also refrain from bringing and using your own herbal infusions, fragrance essences, or essential oils.

Our sauna team uses its extensive experience, traditional rituals, and carefully selected natural scents to provide a diverse sauna experience.

Can I bring my sauna bag into the sauna village?

No. Bags are not allowed in our sauna area.

Please store your bag and any personal items you don't need in your locked locker.

For your stay, all you need is your bathrobe, your bath shoes, sufficiently large sauna towels, and your personal chip key.

With these rules, we aim to ensure peace, order, and safety in our sauna village.

NIGHTSTAYS

Can I use the sauna before I move into my vacation home or shepherd's wagon?

Yes, of course!

As an overnight guest at our vacation homes by the natural swimming lake and our shepherd’s wagons, you can start your wellness day in our sauna area as early as 10:00 a.m. on the day of your arrival.

You may check in to your accommodations starting at 3:00 p.m.

This way, you can relax and enjoy the first few hours of your stay by taking a sauna, a bath, or a soothing infusion before checking into your accommodations.

Please note that admission to the sauna is not included in the room rate and will be charged separately.

You do not need to make a separate reservation for the sauna, as the corresponding capacity is already taken into account when you book your accommodations.

What should I keep in mind when checking out of my accommodations?

We hope you were able to enjoy a relaxing time at our sauna village.

On the day of departure, please check out of your accommodations by 10:00 a.m. at the latest.

This gives our team enough time to prepare the accommodations for the next guests.

Please remember to take all your personal belongings with you and to leave the accommodations in good order.

We hope you have a pleasant trip home and look forward to your next visit.
