Eibenstock Beer Bath

A hop bath for relaxation
Bathing in beer has long been a unique tradition; it is considered a form of health care and is an ideal preventive measure against skin blemishes.
At the Eibenstocker Beer Bath, guests relax in a medieval bathing tub (bastupool) and enjoy the soothing tranquility of the surrounding natural landscape.
Dark bock beer is added to the heated water as a bath additive.
Of course, the beer can also be tasted at the beginning of the ritual. The beer bath is accompanied by beer bread from the inn’s own wood-fired oven and house-smoked sausages.
Your skin will become soft, supple, and smooth. In addition, the hops have a calming effect, reduce stress, and promote sleep.

A touch of luxury from a bygone civilization
Upon entering the treatment room, apply a thin layer of mud to your entire body. Massaging the mud into your skin helps detoxify and cleanse the skin.
You then take a seat on the warm benches and let the mud dry. When steam is blown into the room, the mud regains its smooth consistency. Various all-natural herbal essences fill the sauna with an aromatic scent. Hippocrates, the forefather of hydrotherapy, recommended this type of bath because it helps with digestive disorders, rheumatism, gout, and similar conditions, and harmonizes bodily functions.
While the steam is applied, the mud is repeatedly rubbed into the skin, creating the actual exfoliating effect. Afterward, you shower thoroughly to remove the mud from your skin.
With skin as soft as velvet and silk and an enhanced sense of physical and mental well-being that you’ll continue to feel for days afterward, enjoy a cup of tea and dried fruit together in the oriental lounge tent after your Rasul bath.

Russian Sauna Ritual

Sweat like the Russian tsars
The Russian wenik ritual begins in our authentic Russian banya with a glass of Nikolaschka.
This is followed by the first infusion of birch broth. The hot air, with its pleasant birch scent, is distributed by waving the weniks (birch twigs). First, your skin is fanned with the veniks, and then tapped from shoulder to foot. The tapping opens the pores, drives out impurities, and improves blood circulation in the skin. Birch has cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties and creates an uplifting mood.
Next comes a scrub with a honey-salt mixture, which creates a pleasant tingling sensation on the skin.
Wrapped in a bath towel, you’ll sit in the Ritual Banja’s dining area, sipping hot tea brewed in a samovar in the traditional style, listening to Russian music, letting your thoughts wander, and enjoying typical specialties.
